This is really just a test to see if I can post pictures. So, Michael made me homemade pizza the other night and it was AWESOME! Pineapple and pepperoni!
I tend to agree clk2004. It's an unlikely companion to the traditional pepperoni pizza pie. However, the tradition of the pineapple and pepperoni pie –affectionately referred to as the Hawaiian Pie dates way back and is a favorite of many. Many suggest that it is a misnomer to call it Hawaiians and think that it has Canadian roots – since it traditionally uses “Canadian” Bacon instead of pepperoni. Interestingly enough, this pie is said to have been a favorite of Queen Lydia Liliuokalani , former supreme monarch of Hawaii…..so who knows how plausible it could have for her to delight in this food – given the distance between Canada and Hawaii – during the late 19th Century.
